Meet Our Staff




Customer Care Specialist



      "Ashley 1" started at Valleydale Animal Clinic in 1999. She loves working with people and loving on their pets and especially enjoys earning the trust of the animals in our care. Outside of work Ashley enjoys getting involved in church activities, hiking, riding, and home improvement. Ashley likes to spend time with her husband, Frank, and her mom, dad and five siblings. Ashley's pets include a long haired Chihuahua named Bruiser and both indoor and outdoor cats. She completed her Bachelor's Degree at University of Montevallo in May 2010 with a major in History and a minor in Psychology, and is a Front Staff Trainer for Bayer.


Customer Care Specialist



"Ashley 2" has been at Valleydale Animal Clinic since 2006 and especially enjoys working with cats. She has two cats at home, Sherpa, a Himalayan and Catherine the Great, a long hair. Ashley earned her B.A. in International Relations and Political Science at Samford University and is currently working on her Ph.D. in Comparative Politics at University of Alabama. In her spare time Ashley enjoys reading, watching movies, and catching up on sleep.


 Veterinary Technician



Tara started working at Valleydale Animal Clinic in April 2010.  She completed the Veterinary Technology program at Jefferson State Community College in 2008 but has worked in the field since 2004. Tara is a Hill's Certified Pet Nutrition Counselor and says, "I love being able to help the patients in need." She also loves spending time with her husband, Brent, and their daughter, Alyna. She says all of her dreams have come true since becoming a mother in June 2011.Tara's pets at home are Kaiser, an American Bulldog, Frank, a Bull Terrier, and three cats.





Veterinary Technician 



     BriAnna began working at Valleydale Animal Clinic in March of 2012. She has spent eight years in the field as a veterinary technician. Outside of work, she enjoys searching for antiques and traveling. She loves working with animals and particularly finds cytology interesting. BriAnna lives in Hoover with her parents, sister and their cock-a-poo Cooki Doe and cat Lilly. BriAnna is renowned for her ability to make everyone on the staff laugh frequently. Her dream is to one day own a candy store.



Veterinary Assistant



       Jen began working at Valleydale Animal Clinic in October 2011 and aspires to attend Veterinary School at Auburn University since she completed her B.A. in Integrative Physiology at University of Colorado. She has worked in the veterinary field since 2005 and loves learning as much as she can in preparation for vet school. Jen's interests in her free time include running, horse back riding, and Alabama football. She enjoys spending time with her mom, dad, sister, and brother as well as her American Bulldog Mix, Aspen.


Technician Assistant



      Chris began at Valleydale Animal Clinic in May, 2011. Chris says he enjoys his job because he loves "working with the animals and making their lives better." Chris' interests outside of work include history, tennis and Duke basketball, and dreams of writing movies. Chris completed his History Education degree at Georgia Southwestern State in 1999. His pets are two Schnauzers, Lizzie and Bismarck, and a cat, Maggie.




Kennel Manager



     "Aunt Meg" has been working at Valleydale Animal Clinic since July 2009. She works hard to love on every pet staying with us and make them as comfortable as possible. She is also an expert at making the dogs that come in for their "spa day" beautiful and fluffed as if ready to go to a show. Meg has previously bred Basset Hounds and showed many in competition. In her spare time, she loves cuddling with her Basset Hound, Olivia, providing foster care for dogs in need and donating resources to local shelters and rescues. She also enjoys grooming and vintage cars.



Kennel Attendant



      Jackie started at Valleydale Animal Clinic in May, 2011. She relocated to Birmingham from New Jersey shortly before and says she "was very lucky to get a job at Valleydale." Jackie says she loves spending time with her three dogs, Fritz, Sadie, and Mickey, and two cats, Petie and Gracie, and talking to her daughter who still lives in New Jersey.
